On 24 October a buyer ordered a ฿2,421 PS5 game cash on delivery and confirmed the address with us in chat. We filmed the packing and posted it the same afternoon. The post office tried to deliver it on 28 and 30 October and both days ended unable to reach the buyer, so we called the parcel back. A parcel like that costs us shipping both ways and keeps a game from someone who wanted it. So cash on delivery now starts with a ฿500 deposit by QR: kept if the parcel is refused or can't be delivered, refunded in full if the order is cancelled before it ships.
The rule
- Cash on delivery is for orders over ฿500. It starts with a ฿500 deposit by PromptPay QR; the rest is paid to the courier in cash.
- Refused at the door, or the courier can't reach you: the order is cancelled and the deposit is kept.
- Cancelled before we ship it — by you or by us — the deposit is refunded in full.
- An order of ฿500 or less is simply paid by QR.

24 October · The order
The buyer messages us from an ad about the new Call of Duty on PS5, chooses cash on delivery and fills in our checkout. We ask them to check their phone number; they say it is right.
24 October · Packed and posted
A photo of the game in its wrap, a video from us before we leave, the drop-off point and the post office receipt at 15:53, then the packing video and the label: cash on delivery ฿2,421.
26–27 October · On its way
Thailand Post's tracking, and our order timeline: placed 15:39, packed 15:47, shipped 16:05 on the 24th. The buyer tells us they are waiting for it too.
28–29 October · Out for delivery
The destination post office takes it out for delivery. On the 28th it logs that it could not reach the recipient by phone. We send the buyer each update.
30 October · Called back
The post office logs again that it could not reach the recipient, and we call the parcel back.
